Call for Papers: 2025 Annual Fintech and AI in Finance Conference
Building on the successful past two editions , FinTech and AI in Finance (FinTAF) 2025 conference will be hosted virtually by the Finance and Economics Division , Sheffield Business school at Sheffield Hallam University and University Academy 92 Business School. The aim of FinTAF is to explore current developments within the FinTech industry, assess the key issues faced and delve deeper into a sustainable transformation of the financial world. We wish to explore the role played by artificial intelligence within FinTech development and its effect on key stakeholders i.e. investors decisions, financial services and global markets. We are also keen to explore empirically and theoretically the legal and regulatory implications of the FinTech industry and how it interfaces with the banking industry, asset servicing, capital markets and investment management (e.g. wealth management etc.).
We invite researchers, scholars, and practitioners to submit their cutting-edge work for presentation at the 2025 Annual Fintech and AI in Finance Conference. This virtual event provides a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and insights shaping the future of financial technology.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- AI-driven financial models
- Blockchain applications in finance
- Robo-advisors and algorithmic trading
- Cybersecurity in fintech
- Regulatory challenges and compliance in AI-powered finance
- Data analytics for risk management
- Ethical considerations in financial AI
- FinTech, AI and Financial Inclusion
Keynote Speaker: Reputable academics/Industry speaker:
Anouar Hasbaoui holds a Ph D. in Finance. In 2005, Dr Hasbaoui has earned Certificate of Series 65 from National Association of Securities Dealers( NASD). Dr Hasbaoui focuses his research on Fintech and financial risk management within financial institutions. In USA, Dr Hasbaoui was research assistant and lecturer for UTSA . He also worked for the city of San Antonio for the finance and budget departments in 2005. Currently , Dr. Hasbaoui is an associate professor for ESCA Business school (AACSB) in Casablanca Morocco.

Discussion Papers: Present your novel concepts, ideas, or preliminary research findings for engaging discussions.
Full Papers: Share comprehensive research, empirical studies, or case analyses that contribute significantly to the fintech and AI in finance domain.
All submission will go through rigorous blind peer review before being accepted

Submission Guidelines:
Discussion papers/extended Abstracts must be submitted by 30 November 20225 (Extended from 31 October 2025).
Full papers must be submitted by 30 November 2025 (Extended from 15 November 2025).
Submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
Accepted papers will have the opportunity for publication in our conference proceedings of journal of ‘Fintech and Artificial Intelligence in Finance’ Journal (FinTAF) . All articles published in FinTAF will be open access, using the Creative Commons Attribution licence. This will enable as wide a distribution as possible of the work, whilst allowing authors to retain copyright and so enable them to use their work as they wish.
